Tameer Nasser has extensive experience in various roles within the finance industry. Tameer currently serves as the Regional Finance Director for TAQA in Continental Africa, Iraq, and LEVANT. Tameer is also an Executive Committee Member of the Gas Industry Advisory Committee (GIAC) at the East Mediterranean Gas Forum (EMGF). Previously, Tameer held leadership positions at Baker Hughes, GE, Shell, BG Group, and PwC. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated expertise in finance, strategy development, and driving business growth. Tameer has overseen multimillion-dollar operations, led finance activities, and played a key role in major business initiatives. Tameer's experience spans across sectors such as energy, oil and gas, power, transportation, healthcare, and telecommunications. Tameer is knowledgeable in various accounting and governance frameworks, including IFRS, US GAAP, UK GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley, and FCPA.
Tameer Nasser holds a Bachelor in Commerce degree in Accounting from Ain Shams University, which was completed between 1993 and 1997. Tameer is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) obtained from the Colorado State Board of Accountancy between 2001 and 2003. Furthermore, Tameer Nasser has completed the Certificate in International Financial Reporting (CertIFR) from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). Additionally, they have obtained the Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) certification from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) in 2014.
