Taeko Gupta

Taeko Gupta is an experienced educator currently serving as a Writing Explorations Teacher for grades 5-8 at Boston Collegiate Charter School since August 2022, where a writing curriculum has been developed for over 400 students. In conjunction with this role, Taeko is a corps member of Teach For America, providing valuable teaching experience after a rigorous selection process involving interviews at 11 schools in the Boston area. Previous teaching experience includes a position as a Summer School Teacher for 10th Grade ELA at Lawrence High School, utilizing SEI strategies to support students in credit recovery. Earlier roles involved tutoring third graders at Homework House INC, volunteering in community journalism at Springfield Honors Academy, and various positions within The Massachusetts Daily Collegian, including Social Media Coordinator and Staff Writer. Taeko holds a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Boston University and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication, Journalism, and Information Technology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
