Kate Hunt is a seasoned Sr. Archaeologist and Bioarchaeologist with extensive experience in the field, currently serving at 106 Group since May 2016. In addition to this role, Kate holds multiple leadership positions, including Member on the Board of Directors for the Minnesota Ovarian Cancer Alliance and Creative Director/Co-founder of the Ancient Cancer Foundation (ACF), which focuses on the historical study of cancer and its implications for future treatment. As an Executive Board Member and Co-founder of the Paleo-oncology Research Organization (PRO), Kate emphasizes interdisciplinary collaboration in cancer research. As a TED Fellow and Lead Organizer for TEDxGullLake, Kate has contributed to significant community events. Previous roles include supervising burial recovery as an Osteology Specialist for Hamline University and involvement in various archaeological projects. Kate earned a Master of Science in Palaeopathology from Durham University and a Bachelor's degree in Anthropology and Classical Studies from Pacific Lutheran University.
