Oliver Medvedik

Oliver Medvedik serves as the Director of the Maurice Kanbar Center for Biomedical Engineering at The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art since September 2013, leading bioengineering research projects and mentoring students. Medvedik is a co-founder and holds multiple leadership roles at the Life Extension Advocacy Foundation, School of Visual Arts, Genspace NYC, and Terreform, where initiatives focus on innovative design and environmental solutions. Additional academic involvement includes visiting positions at New York University and teaching assistant roles at Harvard University, contributing to courses in biosemiotics and molecular biology. Medvedik's academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from Harvard University and a B.A. in Biology from Hunter College.
