David Hunt

David Hunt is an experienced media executive with a strong background in sports strategies and management. Currently serving as President and General Manager at TEGNA since June 2015, David leads various high-profile corporate initiatives, including the coordination of Local Sports programs. Prior to this role, David was with Gannett from April 2013 to June 2015 as Director of Local Sports Strategies and Initiatives, where responsibilities included the project management of the High School Sports Platform in collaboration with USA Today Sports. David's career began at KUSA-TV, where roles included Executive Producer Special Projects and Executive Sports Producer, focusing on strategic goal setting and content innovation for both sports and weather departments. David holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Psychology from the University of Colorado Boulder.
