Janet Rivera

Janet Rivera, SHRM-CP, is an experienced Strategic Human Resources Business Partner at TEGNA, serving since October 2021, where responsibilities include leadership development and tailored coaching for radio and television station leadership. Prior to TEGNA, Janet held various roles at Dollar Bank from January 2004 to October 2021, including Assistant Vice President of Human Resources, overseeing full life cycle recruiting and strategic planning, and HR Officer, managing employee relations and staffing for multiple divisions. Janet began career progression as a Senior Recruiter and also worked as a Human Resources Recruiter, Professional Development Specialist, and Operations Manager, demonstrating a broad range of expertise in HR functions, training, and compliance. Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree at Excelsior University, expected to graduate in December 2025.
