Ian Nelson is an experienced professional in the engineering and project management sectors, currently serving as Chief Operating Officer, Executive Engineer, and Structural Engineer at Terra Firma since April 2015. In this role, Ian focuses on structural evaluations for solar PV plants within commercial and industrial markets and oversees installation project management. Previously, Ian was Head of PV Projects and Engineering and a Senior Engineer, managing turnkey solar PV projects across Africa. Ian holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of the Witwatersrand and has a background from De La Salle Holy Cross College.
