Jose Diez is an accomplished Associate Professor and Director of Interventional Cardiology at Baylor Heart Clinic, with extensive experience in clinical practice and research focused on cardiovascular diseases and interventional cardiology, including topics such as slow flow/microcirculation and thoracic aortic aneurysms. Since July 2011, Jose has served as a Senior Research Scientist in Interventional Cardiology at Texas Heart Institute, conducting clinical trials related to coronary, structural cardiovascular diseases, and stem cell therapies. Previously, Jose co-directed the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratories at Tulane Medical Center, where responsibilities included administrative duties, clinical practice, and trials in STEMI and antithrombin therapies. Jose's educational background includes MD and specialized training in cardiovascular diseases and interventional cardiology from prestigious institutions such as Pontificia Universidad Javeriana and Texas Heart Institute - Baylor College of Medicine.
