Jean - Bastien Urfels

M. Urfels, a native of France, joined TFS in August 2020 as Principal of the Senior School. He was appointed Deputy Head in January 2022. He was most recently Proviseur (Head) at Lycée français de Gavà – Bon Soleil in Spain. During his 13-year tenure at the Lycée, he gained considerable experience in international education and educational cooperation, ensuring the implementation of the Franco-Spanish Bachibac diploma and the IB Diploma Program. M. Urfels is passionate about history and geography, which he taught in France and Spain, as well as the history of political ideas, law and geopolitics. He speaks English, Spanish, Catalan and German.
