Owen Jackson is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in policy and leadership roles within government and charitable organizations. Currently serving as Director of Policy at Cancer Research UK (CRUK) since August 2022, Owen leads teams focused on developing policy objectives related to cancer research and treatment. Prior roles include Deputy Director for Global Issues and Opportunities at the Government Office for Science, where contributions shaped government strategy across various sectors, including Net Zero and global health. Owen's experience also encompasses deputy directorship at the Cabinet Office for the Geospatial Commission and leadership positions within the Northern Ireland Office and UK Civil Service. Owen holds a PhD in Plant-Bacterial Symbioses from the University of Leeds and completed the Civil Service Future Leaders Scheme in Organizational Leadership at Hult Ashridge.

By bringing together thousands of like-minded individuals across the country, we are breaking down the structural barriers to social mobility and building a future that’s fairer for the next generation.
