Nigel Phillips

Nigel Phillips is a seasoned cartography and GIS professional with over two decades of experience, currently serving as a Senior Cartographer at The AA since July 2001, where expertise includes maintaining and updating map publications for Great Britain and Ireland using ESRI ArcGIS software. Previous roles at The AA include managing routes databases, performance management, and leading research teams, alongside positions such as Database Manager at Open Roads Limited and Cartographic Research Editor at The AA. Nigel began a career in surveying with Hurst Surveys Ltd and holds a BTEC HND in Geographical Techniques, Cartography, and Mapping from the University of Bedfordshire.
