Matt Gunther has a diverse work experience spanning various companies and roles. Matt most recently worked as a Senior Vice President of Strategy at The Health Management Academy since May 2019. Prior to that, they served as a Managing Director of Product & Innovation at Optum from January 2017 to April 2019. From December 2016 to November 2017, they were a Managing Director of Strategy at The Advisory Board Company, and from March 2012 to December 2016, they held the position of Principal of Corporate Strategy and New Product Development at the same company. Before that, they worked as a Senior Associate at New Vantage Group in 2011 and as a Summer Associate at Tall Oaks Capital Partners in 2009. Matt also has experience as a Vice President at Kaiser Associates from 2005 to 2008 and as a Senior Consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton from 2003 to 2005. Additionally, Matt Gunther co-founded NeuroMetric Technologies and served as its COO from 2000 to 2002.

Matt Gunther started their education at Landon School, where they completed their primary education. Matt then attended Williams College from 1996 to 2000 and earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree. Later, in 2008, they attended the University of Virginia Darden School of Business and completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in 2010.
