Dena Rashed

Dena Rashed is an accomplished communication professional with extensive experience in media relations and public relations education. Currently serving as the Director of Advancement Communications at The American University in Cairo since February 2013, Dena has successfully managed the university's media relations program, securing significant coverage for experts and events in prominent media outlets. Dena initiated the "Faculty at the Forefront Series" to promote faculty work, earning recognition with AUC's Team Excellence Award for contributions to the university's Centennial Celebrations. Additionally, Dena has experience as a public relations instructor and has held various editorial roles at Al-Ahram Weekly Newspaper. Dena is a PhD candidate in Political Science with a focus on International Relations at Cairo University and holds multiple degrees in political science and crisis communication.
