Joe Testa started their career in 1991 as a Sales Accountant and Customer Service Representative at DCI Music Video. Joe then worked as an International Account Executive at CPP Belwin Publications, Inc. from 1992 to 1994. In 1995, they joined Warner Bros. Publications Inc. as Percussion Editor, Production Manager, Media Coordinator, and Artist Relations. Joe Testa then joined Yamaha Corporation of America in 1997 as the International Artist Relations Manager for Drums. Joe worked in this role until 2009, during which they collaborated with artists to shape the marketing and brand imaging of the company. From 2009 to 2010, Joe Testa worked as an independent contractor for publishing and visual marketing, where they produced, edited, wrote, and consulted for various clients. In 2010, they joined Vic Firth Company as the Director of Artist Relations and held this position until 2018. In 2018, Joe Testa became the Vice President of Artist Relations at Avedis Zildjian Company.
Joe Testa attended the SUNY Potsdam Crane School of Music from 1987 to 1991, where they completed a Bachelor's degree in Music Studies. During the same period, they also studied at the State University of New York College at Potsdam and obtained a BM degree in Musical Studies.
