Jason Shubnell

Jason Shubnell is an experienced journalist with a diverse background in editorial roles across various media outlets. Currently serving as News Editor at The Block since April 2024, Jason previously held the position of Content Manager at StartupNation from January 2023 to October 2023, and worked as Weekend Editor at The Block from November 2022 to February 2023. A former Managing Editor and Copy Editor/Writer at Benzinga from 2013 until June 2022, Jason also contributed as a writer for Ferndale Friends Newspaper, WhatsUpDetroit.com, and EndzoneNews.com, focusing on sports and entertainment. Early in the career, Jason was a Staff Writer at Grand Central Magazine from 2008 to 2011.
