Samir Mody is a software engineer who currently works for The Browser Company. Samir has previously worked for Instagram, Facebook, and Amazon. Samir interned at Invensys Operations Management twice, once in 2010 and again in 2011.
Mody graduated from college in 2013 with a degree in computer science. Samir began their career as a software engineer intern at Facebook, working on the Messenger team. Samir then moved to Amazon, where they worked as a software development engineer intern on the CloudFront team.
In 2014, Mody returned to Facebook as a software engineer. Samir worked on the Messenger team and then moved to the Pages team. Samir left Facebook in 2017 to join Instagram as a software engineer. Samir worked on Shopping, Search, Explore, and Hashtags before leaving Instagram in 2019 to join The Browser Company.
Samir Mody received a BS in Computer Science from the University of California, Los Angeles.
They are on a team with Andrew Monshizadeh - Software Engineer, Ami Fischman - Engineering, and Connor Montgomery - Software Engineer. Samir Mody reports to Hursh Agrawal, Co-founder / Engineering.
