Nancy Azar is a seasoned professional in conflict resolution with extensive experience in program management and community outreach. Currently serving as a Senior Program Associate at The Carter Center since January 2016, Nancy Azar supports the Peace in Syria Project and has previously held the role of Program Associate on the Inclusive Approaches to Preventing Violent Extremism Project. Prior to this, Nancy Azar worked as a Community Outreach Officer at Mentor Arabia and contributed as a Lead Episodic Television Writer at Future Television. An early career experience includes an internship at CNN on the Middle East Desk in 2009. Nancy Azar holds a Master's degree in Social Behavioral Sciences, emphasizing Media and Communication from the American University of Beirut and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Public Administration from Universite St. Joseph.
