Head Of The Environmental Unit at The City of Ramat Gan

Dr. Gal Zagron is an experienced professional in the fields of veterinary medicine and environmental management. Currently serving as the Head of the Environmental Unit for the City of Ramat Gan since March 2025, Dr. Zagron previously held the position of Science & Research Manager at the Chief Scientist Office of the Ministry of Environmental Protection from December 2019 to March 2025, alongside managing the Pest Control and Pesticides Division. Earlier, Dr. Zagron was the District Veterinary Physician for the Ministry of Health in Israel from January 2012 to December 2019, where a pioneering role was established as the first Veterinary Physician in the Jerusalem District. Dr. Zagron's expertise includes Veterinary Public Health, particularly in food-borne diseases and food safety. Academic qualifications include a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, a Master of Science in Neurobiology and Neurosciences from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology, Psychology, Mathematics, and Computer Science from Bar-Ilan University.
