Alok Jha

Alok Jha is a seasoned science and technology editor at The Economist since November 2018, with a robust background in science journalism that includes roles as a science correspondent at ITN and the BBC. Jha also served as an honorary senior lecturer at UCL's Department of Science, Technology, Engineering and Public Policy from September 2017 to August 2019, and worked as a Public Engagement Fellow at the Wellcome Trust, where innovative storytelling in science journalism was explored. His career includes significant contributions to The Guardian as a science correspondent and the establishment of online resources for Research Fortnight, targeting government and academic leaders. Alok Jha holds an MSc in Science Communication and an Msci in Physics from Imperial College London.
