Eva Papadopoulou, FCCA, currently serves as an Inspector in the Audit Quality Review department at the Financial Reporting Council, a position held since February 2022. In this role, Eva reviews audit files in alignment with AQR methodology and assesses audit procedures on complex accounting transactions. Additionally, during a secondment as Project Manager in Audit Firm Supervision, Eva was instrumental in establishing the Scalebox sub-department and analyzing the implementation status of ISQM1 for Tier 2 and Tier 3 audit firms. Previously, Eva worked at Deloitte from 2012 to 2022, progressing from Assistant Manager to Audit Manager, focusing on audit engagements for regulated sectors and managing client portfolios that included US-listed companies. Early career roles include positions as a Junior Buyer and Assistant Civil Engineer, alongside education in Accounting and Finance from ACCA and a degree in Civil Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens.

The FRC is the UK's independent regulator serving the public interest by setting high standards of corporate governance, reporting and audit and by holding to account those responsible for delivering them. We set the UK Corporate Governance and Stewardship Codes as well as UK standards for accounting, auditing and actuarial work. We represent UK interests in international standard-setting. We also monitor and take action to promote the quality of corporate reporting and auditing. We operate independent disciplinary arrangements for accountants and actuaries; and oversee the regulatory activities of the accountancy and actuarial professional bodies.
