Dan Siegal currently serves as the Executive Director at the USU Center for Biotechnology (4D Bio3) under The Geneva Foundation since June 2025. Prior to this role, Dan was with Ginkgo Bioworks, Inc. for four years, holding positions as Director of Government Business Partnerships and Associate Director of Business Development. Dan's experience includes working as a Senior Scientist at The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory, where the focus was on synthetic biology-based technologies for national security and public health challenges. Additional roles include Senior Research Scientist/Engineer at Schafer Corporation, Postdoctoral Scholar at the California Institute of Technology, and Postdoctoral Fellow at the Mathematical Biosciences Institute at Ohio State University. Educational qualifications include an Executive Master's in Leadership from Georgetown University, a PhD in Physics from the University of Chicago, and a BASc in Engineering Science from the University of Toronto.
