Benjamin Materna has a diverse work experience in the renewable energy industry. Benjamin currently serves as the VP of Deployment at GivePower. Previously, they worked as a Sr. Microgrid Deployment Manager at Tesla and as a Sr. Operations Manager, Microgrids at SolarCity. Benjamin also served as a Field Application Engineer at Zep Solar and a Director of Operations at Standard Microgrid. Benjamin started their career at NextEnergy Solar as an Installation Manager and later worked at Sungevity as an Operations & Contractor Network Manager. In 2011, they established their own company, Sol Source Energy Solutions, where they held the role of Sole Proprietor and C-10 license holder. Benjamin has extensive experience in project management, operations, and logistics within the renewable energy sector.
Benjamin Materna has attended Cape Cod Community College and the University of California, Berkeley. Benjamin has obtained additional certifications in NFPA 70E - Electrical Hazards and PPE from ClickSafety, C-10 Electrical Contractor's License from the California State License Board, and OSHA 30 from ClickSafety in 2011.
