Daniel Petrescu

Daniel Petrescu is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in audit and advisory roles, currently serving as the Head of Audit and Advisory at The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria since October 2014. Petrescu has held various significant positions, including Interim Head of Audit and Manager of Audits, where responsibilities included strategic direction, risk-based audit planning, and stakeholder engagement. In addition to current roles on several boards, including the Global Centre for Risk and Innovation and the Alliance of Bioversity International and CIAT, Petrescu previously held leadership positions at BRD - Groupe Societe Generale and Raiffeisen Bank Romania, focusing on audit and project management. Petrescu's educational background includes an Executive Master of Business Administration and advanced degrees in Finance from the Academia de Studii Economice din București.
