John Grove is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in global health and evaluation. Currently serving as the Chief Evaluation & Learning Officer at The Global Fund since October 2022, John Grove focuses on enhancing accountability and evidence-based decision-making within the organization. In addition, John Grove has held an academic role as an Affiliate Professor at the University of Washington's Department of Global Health and serves on the Board of Directors for World Bicycle Relief. Previously, John Grove contributed significantly to the World Health Organization as the founding Director of the Quality Assurance / Norms & Standards Department, establishing high-quality guidelines and standards, and held several leadership positions at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, CDC, and other notable organizations. John Grove's educational background includes a BA in International Relations from Kent State University, a PhD in Health Services Research/Evaluation from RMIT University, and an MA in Applied Anthropology/International Development from the University of San Francisco.
