Jake Gutekunst, P.E., AICP, serves as Principal at The Goodman Corporation, overseeing engineering projects and business development in Texas since January 2024. Previously, from January 2015 to January 2024, Jake worked as a Transportation Planner and Traffic Engineer at Kimley-Horn, focusing on mobility solutions, multimodal corridors, traffic impact analyses, and engineering design standards in Central Texas. Prior to this, Jake was a Graduate Research Assistant at The University of Texas at Austin, specializing in Dynamic Traffic Assignment and GIS modeling for road impact assessments from August 2013 to December 2014. Jake’s career began with an internship at Kimley-Horn and Associates, where involvement in various transportation planning projects took place from May 2012 to August 2013. Jake holds a Master of Science in Transportation and Highway Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin.
