Audrey Vieira is an experienced writer and editor with a focus on music journalism and satire. Currently serving as a Contributing Writer for The Hard Times since September 2022, Audrey crafts comedy articles while adhering to AP Style and a news writing format. Previously, Audrey held multiple roles at Afterglow ATX, including Print Managing Editor, where responsibilities included editing articles and coordinating production for the print issue, as well as Content Editor and Staff Writer, managing a team and producing music-related content. In addition, Audrey contributed opinion columns for the North Texas Daily during a brief stint in early 2020. Audrey holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from The University of Texas at Austin, earned in May 2023.

The Hard Times
The Hard Times is a very real punk news site that you should not question. Just absorb the information as truth and move on. The historic satire site was founded in December 1982 at 171A studios while the founding members were eating broken glass with The Bad Brains. It’s made by a group of punk and hardcore kids from all the different sub-genres of the DIY hardcore scene. Any resemblance to actual persons or band names is coincidental. We love hardcore. None of this is done with hate.
