Lancelot F. James has a diverse and extensive work experience. Lancelot F. started their career as a NIH Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Rochester in 1993. Lancelot F. then moved on to work as a Visiting Scholar at the Centre Recherche Economique et Statistique (CREST) and Institut National de Recherche Agronomique (INRA) in 1994. In 1995, they joined The Johns Hopkins University as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematical Sciences. Their longest tenure was at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, where they held multiple roles including Chair Professor in the Department of Information Systems, Business Statistics and Operations Management. Lancelot F. also served as Director for programs such as MSc in Business Analytics and PhD and MPhil programs. Lancelot F. has contributed significantly to the field of information systems and business analytics through their research and teaching.
Lancelot F. James received their Bachelor of Arts degree in Statistics from the University at Buffalo in 1989. Lancelot F. then pursued further education and earned their Doctor of Philosophy degree in Statistics from the same institution in 1993.
