Joseph Freedman has a diverse work experience in the field of engineering and education. Starting in 2019, they worked as an Academic Tutor, mentoring students in algorithms, data structures, and OOP in Java and C++. In 2021, they became a Graduate Research Assistant at California State University, Long Beach, where they experimented with deep learning models for audio transcription and clustering. Joseph constructed convolutional and recurrent neural network encoders and implemented results in a federated learning environment. In 2022, Joseph worked as a Coding Instructor at Coding Minds Academy before joining The Indoor Lab in 2023. At The Indoor Lab, they held the positions of Full Stack Engineer, Senior Full Stack Developer, and is currently serving as the Director of Engineering.
Joseph Freedman earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from California State University, Long Beach in a four-year program from 2016 to 2020. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science in Computer Science at the same university, commencing in 2021 and completing in 2022.
