Abhirami G. is a Staff Writer at The Ken since July 2023, bringing previous experience as a Teaching Assistant for a Literary Criticism course at the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, IIT Madras in 2022. Abhirami has also served as a Mitacs Globalink Research Intern at The University of Winnipeg, focusing on the project "Fairy Tale Justice in Old and New Media: Transforming Wonder" under Dr. Pauline Greenhill. In addition, involvement in student governance includes serving as a Department Legislator/Branch Councillor for the Student Legislative Council at IIT Madras from April 2021 to May 2022, and prior roles as Executive Editor and Correspondent for Article 19, IIT Madras from January 2019 to May 2021. Abhirami completed an Integrated MA in English Studies from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras in 2023, and received high school education at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Perumthiruthi from 2010 to 2018.
