Michael Murphy

Michael Murphy serves as the Assistant Head of Department for Science at The King's School since January 2023. Previous roles include Assistant Director for the ANZAC Tribute at The Australian Remembrance Foundation and Director of Music at St Augustine’s Catholic Church Balmain. Michael has extensive experience in educational settings, including positions at Northern Beaches Christian School and St Patrick's College, Ballarat as Director of Rugby and Housemaster. Additionally, Michael has worked in health care as a Radiographer at St Vincent’s Health Network Sydney and has held various leadership roles in boarding and music. Michael holds multiple degrees, including a Doctor of Education in Motivation and Engagement from UNSW and a Master of Education in Educational Psychology, among others.
