Sam Thornton

Sam Thornton serves as the Chief Information Security Officer at the LEGO Group since September 2020, with prior experience as Head of Department at the UK Ministry of Defence. Previously, Sam held the position of Chief Information Security Officer at Associated British Foods plc and spent over a decade at BP in various roles, including Head of Cyber Security Strategy and Head of Digital Security Risk Management. Early career experience includes positions at Merrill Lynch HSBC as a Security Architect, Scient as a Security Engineer, and other security consulting roles. Sam holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Liverpool John Moores University.
