Daniel Huey

Daniel Huey has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Daniel is currently serving as the Cell Therapy Operations & Regulatory Director at The MetroHealth System since September 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Athersys as a Senior Process Development Engineer from January 2022 to April 2022, and then as a Scientist from April 2022 to June 2022. Before that, they served as a Senior Research Scientist at Biomendics from April 2019 to December 2021, where they played a significant role in implementing a GMP approach to lab operations and overseeing CMOs involved in manufacturing and formulation. Daniel has also worked at Genentech as a Sr. QC Associate from November 2013 to March 2019, at UC Davis as a Postdoctoral Fellow from June 2010 to October 2013, and at Rice University as a Ph.D. student from 2005 to 2010.

Daniel Huey obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in 2005. Daniel later attended Rice University from 2005 to 2010, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Bioengineering.
