The Viscardi Center

The Viscardi Center is a network of non-profits dedicated to educating, employing, and empowering children, adolescents, and adults with disabilities. Founded in 1952 by Dr. Henry Viscardi, Jr., who served as an adviser to eight U.S. presidents and became one of the world’s leading disability advocates, The Viscardi Center provides a lifespan of programs and services, including: • K-12 (up to age 21) education for children with severe physical disabilities • Work-readiness training, career counseling, and job placement • Youth Transition Services, including a six-week summer program • Attendance retention programs for “at-risk” youth • Assistive technology services • Adapted driver education • Employer best practices and workforce diversification resources • Document Remediation Services and Web Accessibility Training for businesses
