Marcel Weigand

Marcel Weigand is a seasoned conservation and development professional with extensive experience in community engagement, grant consulting, and project management. Currently serving as the Northeast Ohio Conservation Coordinator at The Nature Conservancy since October 2018, Marcel oversees outreach programs and operations related to community conservation. A grant consultant since December 2014, Marcel specializes in federal, state, and regional grant applications for various entities. Previous roles include Economic Development Director for the City of Casey, where more than $12.5 million in funding was secured for community improvements, and Teaching and Research Assistant at Ohio University, contributing to grant applications and development projects. Marcel's educational background includes an MSc in Biology, Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, and degrees in Geography and Music Education.
