Jess Dolan

Jess Dolan currently serves as the Head of Institutional Governance and Reform at The Scottish Government since August 2023. Previously held positions within The Scottish Government include Joint Deputy Director Equality and Inclusion (interim) and Joint Head of the Equality Unit from July 2019 to October 2021. Dolan's diverse experience extends to roles such as Board Member at ACOSVO, Director of Ramblers Scotland, and Programme Manager for the Inner Forth Landscape Initiative at RSPB. Earlier career highlights include serving as Activism Impact Manager and Senior Activism Coordinator at Friends of the Earth, along with various positions in event management, fundraising, and volunteer coordination at organizations such as Harrogate International Festivals, Amnesty International, and the Edinburgh International Film Festival. Dolan holds a Master of Science in Cultural Studies/Critical Theory and Analysis from The University of Edinburgh and a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in English Literature and History of Art from the University of Leeds.
