Michael Olson

Michael Olson, CISSP, currently serves as the Lead OT Cybersecurity Architect at The Select Group since June 2023, focusing on the development and implementation of an OT security framework and architecting critical infrastructure SIEM environments for the energy sector. Prior experience includes roles as Principal Security Solutions Architect at Cybalt, where project management of network engineers and integration of cloud-based SIEM tools were key responsibilities, and as Solutions Architect at Black Box, collaborating with Security Operations Center analysts on technological solutions. As a Regional Solutions Architect at NTT, Michael led technical interactions for cybersecurity consultations and managed security service improvements. Early career roles included various positions at BlueCross BlueShield of Nebraska, Client Resources, Inc., and Solutionary, Inc., where responsibilities ranged from cybersecurity analysis to systems engineering. Michael holds a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems Security and an Associate of Science in Computer Network Systems from ITT Technical Institute.
