Jay Cervino, EdD, MSIS, currently serves as the Executive Director of Research Computing IT at The University of Alabama, leading key investments in research computing technology including high-performance computing and AI clusters. With a robust background in IT infrastructure, Cervino previously held the position of Executive Director/Director of Systems & Network Engineering, where strategic leadership supported unprecedented campus growth. Prior experience includes senior roles in identity and access management at the University of Texas at Austin and database management at Intel, where significant contributions enhanced data integration and operational efficiencies. D. Jay Cervino holds a Doctor of Education degree from The University of Alabama and Master of Science and Bachelor of Arts degrees from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
