Mollie Muchna

Mollie Muchna is an experienced journalism professional currently serving as an adjunct instructor at the University of Arizona since January 2021. In addition to teaching, Mollie has held the position of project manager at Trusting News since October 2019 and previously worked at the Arizona Daily Star as a digital engagement editor from October 2017 to December 2022, where responsibilities included managing an online content production team and overseeing social media strategies. Mollie also served as the lead digital producer at Gannett | USA TODAY NETWORK from September 2015 to September 2017, focusing on website and social media management for a local publication. Early career experience includes a reporter/photographer intern role at The Tico Times in Costa Rica. Mollie holds a bachelor's degree in journalism from Northern Arizona University and completed the Leadership Academy for Women in Digital Media at the Poynter Institute.
