Lori Berko

Lori Berko is the Vice President and Secretary and serves as Chief of Staff in the Office of the Provost at the University of Chicago since November 2016, where responsibilities include facilitating strategic planning and managing operations, budget, and human resources. Prior experience includes serving as Deputy Director for Arts + Public Life, an initiative of UChicago Arts, focusing on building creative connections within Chicago's South Side, and acting as Chief Operations Officer at Place Lab from June 2014 to March 2020. Lori Berko began their career as an Attorney at Bronson & Kahn LLC from April 2007 to June 2014. Educational qualifications include a JD in Law from The John Marshall Law School, an MSW in Social Work, and a BSW in Social Work, both from the University of South Florida.
