Mario Moreno Zepeda

Mario M. currently serves as Chief of Staff in the Office of the Provost at the University of Chicago, beginning in January 2024. Previously, Mario M. held the position of Chief of Staff at the Executive Office of the President's Office of National Drug Control Policy from January 2021 to December 2023 and was an Agency Review Team Member during the Biden-Harris Transition Team in late 2020. Mario M. also served as Vice President for Communications at the Washington Office on Latin America from July 2019 to January 2021, successfully managing a communications team and securing significant funding for creative campaigns. Earlier roles include Freelance Consultant and Researcher, Press Secretary for the Office of National Drug Control Policy at The White House, Digital Communications Manager at the National Immigration Forum, and various positions with electoral campaigns. Mario M. holds a Master's degree in Computational Analysis and Public Policy from the Harris School of Public Policy at the University of Chicago and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Duke University.
