Wilfred Amai serves as a University Lecturer in the Physics Department at The University of Papua New Guinea since February 2021. In addition to academic responsibilities, Wilfred has been a Software Developer Contractor at Digicel since November 2015, specializing in custom software systems for product tracking and counterfeit detection. Wilfred also operates Skylinkinvent, a registered ITC consultation business that provides advice on optimizing computer networking resources. Previous experience includes a role as a Researcher at RMIT University from 2012 to 2014 and IT Support Services Contractor at Oceanic Communications Ltd from December 2008 to December 2010, focusing on Windows network support. Wilfred holds a Master's by Research in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from RMIT, obtained between 2012 and 2014.
