Torsten Lytken possesses extensive experience in various roles related to digital transformation, engineering management, and sales within the photonics industry. Currently serving as Digital Transformation Director at Thorlabs since April 2004, Torsten has held multiple leadership positions including Infrastructure System Director, Director of ERP, Lean Transformation Manager, and ERP Implementation Manager. Prior to Thorlabs, Torsten worked at IDEX Health & Science, LLC - Melles Griot as Engineering Manager and Product Manager, and earlier roles included International Sales Specialist and Regional Sales Specialist at Melles Griot Ltd. and Melles Griot Danmark, respectively. Torsten's career began as a Development Engineer at Brüel and Kjær. Educational qualifications include an M.Sc.EE. in Optical Communication and Laser Physics from DTU - Technical University of Denmark and an EBA in Engineering Business Administration from Copenhagen University College of Engineering.
