Allen Roush

Allen Roush is a seasoned AI researcher with extensive experience in large language models (LLMs) and generative AI. Currently serving as Lead AI Researcher at Thoughtworks since May 2025, Roush previously held roles at Wand, where significant contributions included publishing papers at NeurIPS 2024 and ICLR 2025, and at 273 Ventures, focusing on training LLMs to surpass state-of-the-art benchmarks. Roush has also directed generative AI initiatives at Plai Labs and contributed to OCI at Oracle in various capacities, from Principal Machine Learning Architect to Machine Learning Engineer, where accomplishments included landing substantial AI GPU customers and developing a Data Science VM image. Early career experiences at Intel Corporation encompassed roles as a Data Scientist and Software Engineer, complemented by internships that fostered expertise in automation and research. Roush holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from the University of Oregon.
