Sofia Aguilera is a Program Associate at SVG Ventures | THRIVE, where involvement includes sourcing and conducting due diligence on over 1,000 startups for the Global Impact Challenge and collaborating with agrifood corporate partners to foster innovation. As Mexico's youngest published author, Sofia has released multiple works, including "The Lost Origin" and the "Star Blood" series. Previous experience includes roles as Program Associate and Research Associate at Liu Idea Lab for Innovation & Entrepreneurship, contributing to the creation of the Challenge Library and organizing entrepreneurial events. Additional roles include an Associate position at AgFunder, where Sofia co-led a seed investment, and student research at Hilton Lab focused on genetic circuits. Sofia has a Bachelor of Engineering in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from Rice University and previously studied at Tecnológico de Monterrey.
