Ligia Stefanescu

Ligia Stefanescu currently serves as Vice President of Treasury at BVNK since July 2025 and has been Head of Treasury Collections at Thunes since July 2022, where responsibilities include managing global funds inflows, cash movements, and FX execution across over 120 countries. Previously, Ligia held key Treasury positions at Worldline Financial Services, notably overseeing global cash management and process improvements, and at JTI as Treasury Manager, where cash operations and risk management were essential. Early career experience includes roles at Garanti BBVA Romania in credit risk assessment and treasury operations, as well as positions at OTP Bank Romania S.A. focusing on retail credit analysis and back-office supervision. Ligia holds an MBA from the University of Economics and Business Management and a Bachelor's degree in International Relations from Babeș-Bolyai University.
