Meshea Vann currently serves as the Director of Transfer Services at Norfolk State University, a position held since September 2017, and has previously held roles as the Director of Undergraduate Admissions & Recruitment at the same institution. In addition, Meshea Vann has been the Coordinator of Admissions at Tidewater Community College since July 2013 and worked at Norfolk State University from April 2007 to March 2012 as the Assistant Director of Recruitment.

Founded in 1968 as a part of the Virginia Community College System, Tidewater Community College (TCC) serves South Hampton Roads with campuses in Chesapeake, Norfolk, Portsmouth, and Virginia Beach. TCC is the largest provider of higher education and workforce development services in Hampton Roads, enrolling nearly 34,000 students annually—the second largest undergraduate student body in the Commonwealth of Virginia. It is the 11th largest public two-year community college in the entire nation.
