Thomas Renner

Thomas Renner is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the photonics industry, currently serving as a Member of the Management Board and Chief Sales Officer at TOPTICA Photonics AG since June 2005. In this role, Thomas oversees worldwide sales and marketing of diode and ultrafast fiber lasers, focusing on applications in quantum optics, biophotonics, and test & measurement, along with global business development and product management. Previously, Thomas held the position of VP Sales & Marketing, managing sales strategies for various laser systems. Between October 1999 and May 2005, Thomas worked at ROFIN as Director of Innovation & Marketing Laser Micro, concentrating on business development and strategic marketing, and prior to that, Thomas was Group Leader in R&D at Baasel Lasertech, leading the development of pulsed YAG lasers. Thomas earned a PhD in Physics with a specialization in Physical Chemistry from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München and completed an Abitur at Deutsche Schule Den Haag.
