Sharon Hannaford Mtm

Sharon Hannaford MTM, FAICD is an experienced academic and industry leader in tourism and hospitality education. Currently a Lecturer at Torrens University Australia - Blue Mountains International Hotel School since January 2015, Sharon teaches postgraduate and undergraduate courses, including Contemporary Hotel Marketing, Technology Innovation, and Human Resource Management, and received the Susan Holland Excellence in Teaching Award in 2019. As Managing Director of Limetree Consulting since 2004, Sharon specializes in strategic tourism and destination marketing. Additional teaching roles include Sessional Lecturer at the University of Technology, Sydney, and previous positions at International College of Management Sydney and Western Sydney University. Previous management roles include Managing Director for the Pacific Asia Travel Association and Regional Manager for the South Africa Tourism Board, where Sharon developed key marketing strategies and managed diverse teams across regions. Sharon holds a Master's in Tourism Management from Griffith University and has completed corporate governance studies at the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
