Helen Wakeford has over 20 years of work experience in legal and company secretarial roles. Helen has served as the Head of Legal and Group Company Secretary at Transact since 2012, where they provide advice on corporate governance, commercial matters, and employment issues. Helen has also advised on corporate transactions such as share issues, acquisitions, and IPO. Prior to this, Helen worked as a Senior Company Solicitor at Unum from 1997 to 2011, where they provided advice on commercial, employee benefits, employment, and insurance issues. Helen also oversaw data protection and financial crime management functions. Helen started their career as a Trainee IFA at Hart Brown in 1994.
