Shawn Cunningham

Shawn Cunningham, CPA, CGA, is a seasoned financial professional with extensive experience in tax advisory and investment management. Currently serving as a Senior Analyst Tax at TransAlta since December 2023, Shawn also holds the position of President at SSCH Capital Inc., a private investment firm focusing on startup ventures and real estate development since January 2018. Previous roles include Senior Tax Advisor at Suncor, Manager at Kenway Mack Slusarchuk Stewart LLP, and Staff Accountant at Minor & Associates, where Shawn provided a range of financial and tax services. Early career experience includes roles at The Aurum Group and as Owner of Junkmarket. Shawn holds a Certified General Accountant designation and has completed the CPA In-Depth Tax Course. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Administration with Honours in Accounting and a Bachelor of Recreation & Sport Studies from the University of New Brunswick.
